Ringing data:
I have both the ornithological and color ring numbers, but I’ve been asked to handle them with caution (e.g. to prevent misuse in false reports).
If you spot a ringed stork in the wild, on a webcam, or in the media, please contact me via a Private Message.

Iksi arrived in the area of the Messolonghi Lagoons National Park (Greece) on 6 November.
As a young stork, Iksi may choose to stay in Greece for the summer or begin moving toward Europe. We are waiting for the first spring signals!

IKSI
Iksi has an older transmitter with replaced batteries – this GPS device was previously used by Karl I. (info shared by our Madli - thx!)

birdmap description (autumn 2025)
A young Black Stork that grew up in the Kergu webcam nest and started migrating on August 18, 2025, one day after the two older chicks of the same nest (Tootsi and Vihm). The tracking device was installed on the chicks of this nest as part of the monitoring of the Black Storks of the Tootsi-Sopi wind farm. According to the transmitter data, the three chicks did not fly to the wind farm area either during the flight exercises or during the start of migration. Tootsi and Vihm migrated together for the first two days (including crossing 150 km of the Gulf of Riga), after which their flight paths diverged in Lithuania. Iksi's first migration stage was shorter than the others, he/she stopped near Kedainiai in Lithuania and tried to find suitable food in the forest and ditches there.
