On the 7th of May, Iksi left his usual area and flew North. He covered a distance of about 50 kilometres. He passed the town of Katouna and headed towards a very specific destination we have been watching.

Iksi arrived at Lake Podovinissa (near the village of Konopina). As you can see on the detailed map, he spent a lot of time moving around the edge of the water and the nearby fields. This "zig-zag" pattern on the GPS shows that he was actively foraging (looking for food). Small lakes like Podovinissa are vital "service stations" for storks, providing a quiet place to eat and rest.
