Migration Tracking of KERGU - 16CY
CY (Calendar Year) counts the calendar years a bird has lived in, starting with 1CY for its hatch year and increasing every January 1st.
Bird Profile:
- Sex: Male
- Age: Adult - 16 CY (hatched 2011)
- Origin (hatch): 10 km from the current nest
- Territory/breeding season 2025: streamed nest in Pärnu County, mate: Kerli
- Wintering ground: Ethiopia (Amhara Region)
- 4th spring migration with transmitter (tagged on 31.07.2022)
I have both ornithological and colour ring numbers, but I’ve been asked to handle them with caution (e.g. to prevent misuse in false reports).
If you see a stork with a ring in the wild, on a webcam, or in the media, please contact me by Private Message.
