The first shot showing the third hatchling fully free. Although it is still wet and curled up, the hatching process is officially complete. Compared to its older siblings, it looks very fragile - estimated to be 3 to 4 times smaller in volume at this moment. Fingers crossed!



The hatching of the third chick was quite chaotic. Instead of a clean cut, the shell resembled "Madeira lace" for a long time, with scattered small holes. This irregular pipping is often caused by low humidity or the chick's inability to rotate inside the egg due to the weight of its older siblings.
I've noticed a significant shift in parental behaviour: with the first chicks present, "egg rolling" has virtually stopped. To avoid injuring the hatchlings, the adults now rarely move the remaining eggs. Instead, they focus on aerating the nest cup lining to maintain hygiene and a proper microclimate for the brood.
