Dziś ważny dzień w życiu naszych bocianów.
Wszystkie maluchy, a mamy ich w tym roku cztery, zostały zaobrączkowane, zmierzone, zważone i dostały swoje loggery GPS, które pozwolą śledzić trasy ich przelotów.
Przy tej okazji każdy z małych bocianów otrzymał swoje imię. W tym roku imiona męskie: Grzegorz, Olek, Jakub i Hubert. Niewiadomo jeszcze czy któryś nie okaże się dziewczyną.
Prace wykonał wybitny znawca bocianów dr hab. inż. Tadeusz Mizera z Katedry Zoologii Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego w Poznaniu.
Po wykonaniu wszystkich zabiegów młode bociany zostały szczęśliwie odtransportowane do swojego gniazda.
Today is an important day in the lives of our storks.
All the chicks - and we have four of them this year - have been ringed, measured, weighed, and fitted with GPS loggers, which will allow us to track their flight routes.
On this occasion, each of the young storks received a name. This year, they are all male names: Grzegorz, Olek, Jakub, and Hubert. However, it is not yet known whether any of them will turn out to be a girl.
The work was carried out by the eminent stork expert, Dr hab. inż. Tadeusz Mizera from the Department of Zoology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences.
After all the procedures were completed, the young storks were safely returned to their nest.
