What the older siblings can swallow easily might be physically impossible for Benjamin to get down his throat. The older chicks already have a wider oesophagus and stronger swallowing muscles because they are 4 days older.

Stork chicks grow exponentially. 90 days in the nest is like 18-21 years for humans. This means that 1 day in the nest is like almost 3 months for a human child. Every day matters so much right now!

The 4-day age gap between the oldest chick and Benjamin is huge right now. In human terms, it is like a 1-year development difference. Benjamin is basically a newborn trying to compete for food with a 1-year-old toddler. Fingers crossed very, very much!
