At 15h UTC, the stork's location was recorded in a presumably wet area — the confluence of an unnamed stream flowing into the Starata River. At 18h UTC, Krum was located at his frequently utilised roosting site, situated south-east of the village of Derjava, near the confluence of a stream from the Derjava reservoir and the Starata River.
Sometime after 18h UTC, Krum departed his roost and flew north to the site where he had previously been located at 15h UTC; he was also recorded roosting at this northern site. Btw. On 08.01 sunset in the vicinity occurred at 17h.

O 18h UTC bol Krum zaznamenaný na svojom často využívanom nocovisku, ktoré sa nachádza juhovýchodne od obce Derjava, v blízkosti sútoku potoka z rezervoára pri Derjave a rieky Starata.
Niekedy po 18h UTC Krum opustil svoje nocovisko a letel na sever k miestu, kde bol predtým zaznamenaný o 15h UTC; aj tam už opakovane nocoval. (Dňa 8.1.2026 západ slnka v tejto oblasti nastal o 17h.)
