YT
8:52 PM Tanya Don
I've been watching the archive of photos and videos all evening. The female that is currently in the nest is not the same female that had the first litter in this nest this year.
8:59 PM Tanya Don
It is possible that this is the female that appeared in the nest on May 3. The owner of the litter was fighting with her
For me, the biggest question is which female was on the nest when the ringed female arrived - this one? the original one (which was incubating)? the third one?
9:05 PM Tanya Don
Marika , At the moment when the female with the rings appeared, this particular female was in this nest.
9:34 PM Tanya Don
The darkening on the beak is confusing. But in this female, the darkening begins slightly lower (that is, slightly closer to the end of the beak) than in the owner - female of the litter.

Re: ESTONIA Jõgeva County NEW NEST
DECISIVE DAY (13.05)
May 12th also needs to be clarified - for sure it is important day too
both days there were transmission blackouts
in the morning there was a male who was renovating the nest (his wings were fine)
09.40 stork landed on the nest, 09.47 female arrives (greetings, male settled down)
10.00 female starts preening him
10.03 mating attempt - female (!) starts fighting and pushes this male out of "her" nest and is repeating at 10.04
10.06 stork is landing on the parent branch, female defends the nest
10.23 female turned away his attempt to fly into the nest, male away
10.29 female on the nest is again in defending posture - male arrived to the parent branch (long preening)
11.27 male away
11.32 female defending posture, male to parent branch - next long preening
12.08 male calls shortly, he is observing something (female too) and again calls, fanned tail feathers and is flying away
CHANGE most probably - new pair is on the nest (the pair form the previous season?)
12.10 male is approaching the nest, female has ruffled feathers, male landed on the nest - greetings (!)
12.11 both are defending the nest because one (silent) ringed (female) black stork is landing on the parent branch
these two are now on the nest in my opinion (13.05.2025 at 12.32)

12.53.05 female out, 12.53.33 male too
12.54 male is back, 12.58 out again
12.59 in, 13.00 out again
- back - 13.03.56 (?) out (time stamp is very bad readable this time)
FIGHT
13.42 male with gap in the wing landed
13.48.03 hard fight started, male with the missing feathers was pushed out and the winner flew out too
14.06 female arrived (the new?)
14.28 out
17.33 male arrived to the nest and spent there the night
CONCLUSIONS
probably (!)
- 3 males: 1/ with the gap in wing who incubated; 2/ peacefully intruder (mostly on the parent branch); 3/ male who arrived to the nest on 13.05 at 12.11
- 2 females: 1/ who incubated (on 12.05 at 14.21 she took off) and 2/ female who arrived to the nest on 13.05 at 09.47
what is sure is the new male on the nest
female to me is not sure, the change in behaviour at 12.10 towards the male on the nest would correspond to this (but according to the criteria applied to humans)

Re: ESTONIA Jõgeva County NEW NEST
May 16
Hello everyone
Inspired by Tanya Don, I compare my photos from the days before the incident with these latest ones and I have an increasingly strong impression that the same female is on the nest.
Not all the photos I have are uploaded here. I also have photos from today, but with this intention (I am not documenting).
A small note - this male brought some moss this morning.
