yes indeed, an empty nest of juveniles.. parents are still here..
But there are other nests to observe.

I have to admit I had tears in my eyes when the young storks screwed themselves higher and higher, the thermals were very good.
In the end they were so high I only saw small points that finally disappeared. Then I had to get a handkerchief quickly, but they were tears of joy

I can't believe my eyes, the 2 younger siblings have returned to the nest, waiting for mom and dad for food.

I guess mom and dad are as amazed as I am.

The parents performed a dance of joy on the nest when the trio left.
Presumably they observed it from the meadows near the nest, because they flew into the nest immediately afterwards.
Now 2 are back ))))

Hello to all

So this is the last update for this year:

All siblings are gone since 2 days.


I hope they will reach their winter quarters. I'll never know...
This year no transponders for this nest were approved (there are 1000 breeding pairs in Bavaria alone).

I still think it's a pity because the transponder saved a young stork of this nest 2 years ago, which had fallen into an industrial fireplace, They found him because of the transponder and could recover him with minor injuries and release him after 2 week to nature.
