in this thread we follow the 2nd spring migration of the (fe)male black stork named KUREMARI (adult - 5 CY, hatched 2021 40 km northeast of Riga)
KUREMARI colour ring number:OXUJ
KUREMARI is an interesting choice of name. In direct translation it means Stork's berry and it is a folk name for cranberries. (info by our Madli - thx!) This stork with Latvian rings (ringed near Pabažie) was caught by Urmas and equiped with trasnmitter.
