Bird Paradise is an artificial wetland ecosystem formed in the north of Sarıyar Dam, which was put into service in 1959, where Aladağ Stream meets Sarıyar Dam. It is located within the borders of Davutoğlan village, Nallıhan district, Ankara province. Located on the historical Silk Road, Nallıhan Bird Paradise is 130 km from Ankara and Eskişehir provinces, 300 km from Istanbul, 100 km from Bolu, and 30 km from Beypazarı and Nallıhan districts.

Nallıhan Bird Paradise is one of the important bird areas of our country. It has been defined as “Nallıhan Bird Paradise” due to the bird population it hosts. The 425-hectare area where Aladağ Stream meets Sarıyar Dam, where birds are seen more densely, was designated as a Wildlife Development Area in 1994 and hunting was prohibited. By banning hunting in the area, limiting human activities and increasing public awareness, birds have found an area where they can breed and shelter safely.
