- 17.44.22 the smaller one starts begging, nodding (17.15.00 both)

- 17.15.02 NATALIO arrived
FEEDING
- it seems he regurgitated the food little later (I saw first only his back - storklets continuously begged)
- the second attempt/new position is successful, Natalio ate back approx. 22 (!) frogs (chicks are protesting)
- to me it seemed he is quickly and storklets hadn't chance to catch the frogs, they ate probably only few pieces
- Natalio stayed with his chicks on the nest

- 19.10 next attempt to feed them (after long begging)
- 19.10.51 Natalio regurgitated one pile of food
- he ate frogs again back (not immediately), I don't know what the problem is, why storklets dont eat them

what scared Natalia every now and then? or does he want to catch those birds? is someone throwing something from above? (still hearing the sounds that remind me of the cracking of a whip)

8:42 PM Happy Rentner
Um 20.36 wehrt das Elterntier mehrere Anflüge eines Falken ab. / At 20:36 the parent fends off several approaches from a falcon.

I saw a bird - it has been here for a long time, I didn't even think of such a possibility - birds fly there every now and them.
I thought rather that Natalio wanted to catch a bird - the chicks have been begging for food for a long time.
Now I understand his long stay on the nest.
He set about strengthening the defense - he brings branches, etc. again and again (I counted to 8, but he continues)

btw. e.g. Peregrine Falcon - diet:
Mostly birds. Feeds on a wide variety of birds. Pigeons are often favoured prey around cities, and ducks and shorebirds often taken along coast; known to take prey as large as loons, geese, large gulls, and as small as songbirds. Also eats a few small mammals, seldom insects, rarely carrion. (https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bir ... ine-falcon)

please do you know if there are any predators that could threaten such large chicks/storks? @Aves Palencia

9:46 PM Aves Palencia
@marika marika con este tamaño tienen muy pocos depredadores. El más normal sería el águila real (golden eagle), y ya sería un caso bastante raro /At this size they have very few predators. The most normal would be the golden eagle, and it would already be a fairly rare case.
También está el búho real, pero pienso que ya son demasiado grandes como para un búho. De todas formas tampoco es imposible / There is also the eagle owl, but I think they are already too big for an owl. In any case it is not impossible.
