I would say some next days might show if my thoughts might be in right direction – I have a few cases with trail-camera images when we can see result, however there is no detailed information in those cases how this start. I mean cases when there is a shortage of food and adult kills juvenile at some point. Could this be the case? ...

I am not sure. I don't want look at it in detail - according to the shots I have, I can't rule out our male.
Btw. Vida - our male, Libe - disagrees, both are very good observers
