I sent the observation to the Ringing Center - I managed to read the data on the ring

I suspect that it is most probably the same stork, which was recorded in Hungen last year: https://www.ciconianigra.sk/viewtopic.p ... 490#p11490 (I have news about that stork, I forgot to post it here on the forum - sorry) or from the same rescue station

....."Der Schwarzstorch wurde hier eingeliefert und gesund wieder ausgewildert. Er kehrte auch zum Winter zurück. Im Januar 2023zog er mit einem anderen weiblichen Schwarzstorch ab. Sie waren zusammen unterwegs. Hier leben und brüten sehr viele Weißstörche in einer Baumbrutkolonie. Zu den Zugzeiten kommen auch Schwarzstörche, teilweise Familien, die aber weiter ziehen. Nur verletzte oder hilflose Tier werden hier behandelt.
Der Schwarzstorch kam flugunfähig zu uns. Er wurde völlig verklebt aus einem Spülfeld aus dem Schlamm gerettet. In der Station leben viele Weißstörche, aber auch Schwarzstörche. Ohne Kontakt zu Menschen und Weißstörchen geht es auch hier nicht." .....

..... "The black stork was brought here and released back into the wild healthy. It also returned for the winter. In January 2023 it left with another female black stork. They were travelling together. A lot of white storks live and breed here in a tree breeding colony. During migration, black storks also come, sometimes families, but they move on. Only injured or helpless animals are treated here.
The black stork came to us unable to fly. It was rescued from a mud flat completely stuck together. Many white storks live in the station, but also black storks. Without contact with people and white storks, it is not possible here either." .....

I have a report only in relation to my observing (video attack in Hungen on 09.03.2023), but now I received a complete report from a nice lady with all previous observations (to 14.04.2024 - 13 reports)

the stork was only counted in Germany, once a report came with a note: with 19 white storks, followed by a night's rest

At night there was one stork on the nest, in the morning two were repairing the nest

During the morning there was always one white stork on the nest, I also saw mating; around 12.45 the nest remained empty.

- both white storks were sitting on the nest, and just when I was away from the computer for a while, the exchange took place
- 14.37 BS is away again (nest is empty)
- 14.39 WS is back, both and change

I feel very sorry for him and the white ones too.
