(GT) Flooded granite quarry "Hope - near the border with Ukraine, in the border zone. This is the only place in Belarus where crystalline rock comes to the surface. Here, local landscapes are a little reminiscent of fjord Scandinavia or Karelia.

In 1985, high-quality stone began to be mined in Glushkavichy - some stations of the Minsk metro, buildings in Gomel, many monuments were made with such granite. After the collapse of the USSR, production stopped, but it can be continued at any time.
