  • On this map are only black storks with transmitters who's migration we can follow.
  • The storks are divided by age- hatching year ( adults, 2021, 2022, juveniles 2023) These are the layers of the map.
  • Depending on how many layers are active, colorful dots appear on the map. Each dot represents a stork. They are all in different colors.
  • When there is not possible to add a long route, I will put a random short line on the approximate location in the stork's final destination- as accurate as possible, but we don't have the exact coordinates) This will show the date and location.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
  • This map does not show the migration in real time.
  • Map is updated when there is new data. ( Also depending on the availability of my own time)
  • Sometimes there are only approximate locations on the map because we do not have access to the exact coordinates. The idea is to give an overall clue about the stork's whereabouts.
DATA for this map comes from various public sources:
  • Kotkaklubi/Birdmap
  • Komitet Ochrony Orłów Eagle Conservation Committee (KOO) + FB BocianiMy
  • RDLP w Łodzi + FB RDLP w Łodzi
  • Ptaki Sileziana/map
  • direct questioning of "stork owners" - transmitters data
  • other publicly shared data
