Katrin has been exploring the area and visiting the same familiar places over the last few days. She has now returned to the area of the village Yayakent. In this picture you can see her movement divided by colors and days.

Mare sent again data (we have never received data from this area on an ongoing basis and this season it is the second time)

Mare is in one of her favourite wintering area - she moved to the "Talodi area"

"red splash" Mare spends the first part of her winter stay here for the fourth time (she wasn't there only during the first migration)

KATRIN continuation of update for past few days.

16.11-18.11

Katrin arrived to the area near village Esentepe the day before, on 15.11. On continuing days she flew relatively short distances, to feed in rivers in that area- Geyikli Deresi (Asarboğaz Çayı) and Kara Dere.

New data: 23.11.21. Distance 3909 km(+32 km/2 days) near Bergama, Izmir province, Turkey.

Katrin uses a small sideriver or a stream/ditch for feeding near the city of Bergama. Her night resting spot is in the mountains south-west from Bergama. Nearby are villages Armağanlar and Karahidirli.
The distance from her roosting tree to the feeding ditch is approx. 2,4 km.
