14.07 Kerli rolls the eggs. There is a small chirping..is the chick out from the shell? I don't see any other movement in the nest bowl.

June 14 Hello! Today we are expecting first chick to hatch. Kergu spent the night in the nest. Loud and active egg talk is heard every time Kergu rolls the eggs. 04.55 KERLI arrives with a piece of fresh moss. She immediately takes over egg duty. Kergu flies out. 05.11 Kergu is back with more moss....

18.05 Kerli takes care of the eggs. Egg talk is heard.
Eggs are not visible due to a moss pile in front of them.

Egg talk is heard from time to time.

19.58 KERGU arrives and takes over egg duty.
Kerli flies away.

It seems that Kergu has been away since yesterday evening.
Kerli is incubating alone.

The weather in Estonia isn't good- it is rainy and not very warm.

Hello and happy new breeding year :D

This is a lovely nest and hopefully we can witness an undisturbed and peaceful season here!

Neither of the adults have any rings, so telling them apart can be tricky sometimes. I did notice that male has darker legs than female :)
